Nirmanakaya, Emanation body, is one of the three bodies (trikaya) of a buddha in Mahayana Buddhism. Nirmanakaya is the manifestation (appearance) of enlightenment in the physical world in various forms for the benefits of sentient beings.
The Tibetan word, Tulku, also refers to a reincarnated lama. Alternate spelling / Variations: Trülku, Trulku.
