ལོངས་སྐུ

Sambhogakaya, Enjoyment body; 報身、受用身; Tibetan: ལོངས་སྐུ (long ku); Wylie: longs sku; Sanskrit: saṃbhogakāya; 

Sambhogakaya is one of the three bodies (trikaya) of a buddha in Mahayana Buddhism. Buddhas manifest in Sambhogakaya form so that Bodhisattvas can perceive and receive teachings. It is a subtle, enjoyment body beyond duality, space and time, achieved through accumulated merits and achievements.

報身是大乘佛教三身之一， 是諸佛菩薩經長久修行、圓滿一切資財之後，其福報集合而成的圓滿色身，可享受種種禪悅。

This is an beta (testing) version of our Chinese / English / Sanskrit / Tibetan Buddhism popup dictionary system. We are still in the process of fine tuning the structure and layout of the system and resolving some minor issues. As of spring of 2024, there are over 3,100 Tibetan terms and over 6,800 entries in all languages.
