Samye Monastery was the first (762-779 completed) Tibetan monastery with ordained monks. The meaning of the full name is Shrine of Unchanging Spontaneous Presence. It was built under King Trisong Detsen. In 779, Guru Padmasambhava tamed the local spirits for the completion of the Nyingma Monastery.
桑耶寺是西藏的第一座有僧侶修行的寺院,兼具藏漢印三種風格。藏文全名含義為「吉祥紅岩思量無際不變頓成神殿」。762年,吐蕃贊普赤松德贊國王親自奠基,779年,蓮花生大師馴服了當地神而完成這寧瑪寺。
