Songtsen Gambo (569-650; reign: 618-649) was the 33rd Tibetan king and founder of the Tibetan Empire for unifying several Tibetan kingdoms. He was credited for introducing Buddhism to Tibet and for the creation of the Tibetan script. The Potala Palace in Lhasa was first built during his reign.

松贊干布 (569-650; 在位: 618-649) 是吐蕃帝國的建立者，第33任贊普，在位 (629-650)，創製了藏文書寫系統。通過與唐朝及尼泊爾聯姻佛教首次進入西藏，松贊干布與其王妃赤尊公主和文成公主三人，至今備受藏族尊崇。拉薩的布達拉宮也是其在位期間建立的。

This is an beta (testing) version of our Chinese / English / Sanskrit / Tibetan Buddhism popup dictionary system.
