སྔོན་འགྲོ

Ngondro; 加行; Tibetan: སྔོན་འགྲོ (ngon dro); Wylie: sngon ‘gro;

Ngondro (ngöndro) is the preliminary practices that Vajrayana practitioners begin the path: 100,000 refuge prayers with prostrations, 100,000 vajrasattva mantras, 100,000 mandala offerings, and 100,000 guru yoga practices. The purpose is to accumulate merits, to purify and cleanse negative karma in order to have success in tantric practice.
