Arura (chebulic myrobalan, botanical name is terminalia cherbula) is a fruit that is one of the three fundamental Tibetan medicines. The Medicine Buddha holds the stem of the arura plant in his right hand.
訶梨勒(訶子)共分5種,尊勝訶梨勒是賢劫千佛中每尊佛出現時才會應時長出,極為殊勝難遇,其他四種訶梨勒都是藥用訶梨勒,味澀,辛而苦,在西藏醫學中,功能治邪魔及眼疾,是金剛乘甘露法藥之基本藥材。藥師佛右手持訶梨勒。
