Arura; 訶梨勒，訶子; Tibetan: ཨ་རུ་ར; Wylie: a ru ra; Sanskrit: haritaki;
Arura (chebulic myrobalan, botanical name is terminalia cherbula) is a fruit that is one of the three fundamental Tibetan medicines. The Medicine Buddha holds the stem of the arura plant in his right hand.
訶梨勒（訶子）共分5種，尊勝訶梨勒是賢劫千佛中每尊佛出現時才會應時長出，極為殊勝難遇，其他四種訶梨勒都是藥用訶梨勒，味澀，辛而苦，在西藏醫學中，功能治邪魔及眼疾，是金剛乘甘露法藥之基本藥材。藥師佛右手持訶梨勒。
This is an beta (testing) version of our Chinese / English / Sanskrit / Tibetan Buddhism popup dictionary system.
