Upadana (grasping) is one of the 12 nidanas. Craving develops into grasping what is pleasurable and avoiding what is painful. In the Wheel of Life, it is shown as a money continuously picking fruits from a tree.
第九緣起支為「取」, 源於愛, 眾生對樂受與苦受所產生的境生起極強的貪取心. 六道輪迴圖中, 貪得無饜地隨意摘取樹上水果的猴子比喻取。
